A CLEAR STARTING POINT

Understand the people.
Identify the question.
Define the responsibility.

Our identity is built around a clear starting point and an accountable legal engagement.

A client should understand what kind of assistance is being discussed, who will provide the legal advice and how the proposed work connects to the matter. That clarity is relevant whether the enquiry concerns a personal decision, a transaction, a dispute or ongoing business needs.

The Hukuk&Co brand provides the point of contact. The appointed lawyer’s responsibility, the client and the scope are confirmed through the engagement process.

OUR IDENTITY

Hukuk&Co: a point of contact
for matters involving Türkiye.

The brand and its operator

Hukuk&Co is a brand operated by Legal and More LLC, based in Istanbul. The website helps individuals, families, investors and businesses identify relevant areas of assistance and understand how to begin a consultation or discuss a further engagement.

The website operator handles initial enquiries and appointment coordination. A lawyer registered with a Turkish bar assesses Turkish-law questions. Before instructing the lawyer, ask for their name and bar registration and confirm who will contract with you for each service.

The appointed lawyer’s responsibility

Legal advice and representation are provided by the appointed lawyer under an agreed engagement. The responsible lawyer, legal scope, authority and fees are confirmed before the agreed work begins.

Coordination, historical research, translation, technical assessment and other professional services have their own roles. The engagement should identify who is responsible for each task, rather than leave the client to assume that every service is provided by the same person.

WHO WE ASSIST

Different circumstances.
A defined legal starting point.

INDIVIDUALS & FAMILIES

A personal matter with practical consequences.

You may need to review a residence decision, understand a family or inheritance matter, assess a property document or respond to an allegation or claim. Explain what has happened, what has already been signed or received and the decision you need help making.

Connected issues are considered together where relevant, while distinct applications, claims and proceedings are scoped separately.

INVESTORS & BUSINESSES

Advice around a transaction or operation.

Founders, owners, investors and management teams can discuss corporate structures, contracts, acquisitions, commercial relationships and disputes. The legal work should reflect the actual activity, the proposed commitment and the parties whose interests require protection.

Businesses can also request a defined recurring relationship for agreed legal needs across their operations.

LAW FIRMS & LAWYERS

A Turkish-law instruction with clear roles.

Independent lawyers and firms can discuss Turkish-law assessment, local work, document review or coordination of a cross-border matter. Client identity, authority, conflicts, professional roles and reporting must be agreed before substantive work starts.

A proposed collaboration is assessed for the particular instruction; it does not imply an existing worldwide partnership or an automatic referral arrangement.

CLIENTS IN TÜRKİYE & ABROAD

An Istanbul base.
An international perspective.

Your location and language are part of the planning.

Clients may be outside Türkiye, managing a family situation across countries or making business decisions using unfamiliar documents. Tell us where you are, which countries are involved and the practical constraints affecting the matter. An initial consultation can be arranged online or by appointment in Istanbul.

Communication arrangements in Turkish, English or Arabic are confirmed for the matter. Interpretation and document translation are distinct tasks and may require separate providers or fees. Let us know your preferred language before the meeting.

Plan the actual next step.

Online consultation does not determine every later procedural requirement. The appointed lawyer assesses the documents, authority, originals, certification and any personal participation needed for the agreed work.

If another country’s law is relevant, the Turkish work and foreign-law advice are identified separately. Appropriately qualified foreign counsel may be needed under confirmed arrangements; no overseas office or authority to practise everywhere is implied.

THE WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Professional responsibility
for the matter you instruct.

Know the responsible professional

The lawyer for the matter is identified through the engagement process. Ask who will advise or represent you, what work they will undertake and how any specialist involvement will be organised. A website roster is not a substitute for that matter-specific confirmation.

Where a different professional is required, their role, availability and costs should be clear. The client should understand who is making a legal assessment and who is providing research, technical information or coordination.

Know what has been agreed

A meeting, a written opinion, document drafting, negotiation and court representation are different scopes. The engagement should state the client, questions, documents, deliverables, professional fees and any authority required to act.

Official charges, translation, certification, experts and other external costs are distinguished from professional fees. Additional work is discussed before it is assumed to be included; neither an enquiry nor a general practice description promises an outcome.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

A focused enquiry
makes the conversation useful.

Begin with a concise outline of your matter and the decision you need to make. Identify the relevant parties, countries and documents, and flag any notice, hearing, application or transaction date. Explain whether you already have a lawyer and whether proceedings are pending.

Ask for an agreed sharing method before sending confidential personal or business records. If documents are incomplete or inconsistent, say so. The limits of the available information need to be understood before a review can be relied on.

Availability, conflicts, the responsible lawyer, scope and fees are confirmed before the agreed service begins.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Make the arrangement
understandable.

These answers explain the proposed working relationship. Advice on your own circumstances requires an agreed assessment with the appointed lawyer.

Who operates Hukuk&Co?

Hukuk&Co is a brand operated by Legal and More LLC. Legal advice and representation are provided by the appointed lawyer under the agreed engagement.

Who will handle my legal matter?

The responsible lawyer, relevant capability and scope are confirmed for the particular instruction. Ask who provides any additional professional work and whether it is included in the engagement.

Can foreign clients arrange a consultation?

An initial consultation can be arranged online or in Istanbul by appointment. State the countries involved and your preferred language. Later work depends on the applicable procedure, documents and authority requirements.

Can businesses request ongoing legal counsel?

A recurring engagement can be considered for defined legal needs, such as agreed contract categories, corporate decisions and legal follow-up. Volume, reporting, fees and additional-work approval are agreed; major projects or proceedings are included only if expressly stated.

Can an overseas lawyer work with you?

A proposed Turkish-law or local-counsel instruction can be discussed subject to conflicts, capability, client authority and professional requirements. Reporting, responsibilities and engagement arrangements must be confirmed before the work begins.

Does an enquiry create representation?

No. Sending a message or documents does not by itself mean the matter has been accepted or a deadline protected. Confirm the engagement and any agreed action before relying on representation.

DISCUSS YOUR LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Find the starting point
for your matter.

Tell us your role, the subject, the countries involved and any approaching deadline. Identify whether you need a consultation, document work, representation, business counsel or a professional instruction.

Start with a brief outline and ask how sensitive records should be shared. The client, responsible lawyer, scope and fees are confirmed before the agreed legal work begins.
