How we prepare these guides, and what readers should understand about their scope.
Purpose and scope
The Legal Guides collection explains common starting questions about legal assistance and procedures in Türkiye. It is intended for individuals, families, investors and businesses, including clients living abroad.
A guide can help a reader organise questions and documents. It does not assess a particular case, confirm eligibility, establish a professional engagement or calculate a legal deadline.
Authorship and review status
Hukuk&Co publishes these guides as general information. Each guide identifies its sources. An appointed lawyer can assess how the current law applies to your circumstances.
Legal advice and representation are provided by the appointed lawyer under the agreed engagement. The operator and legal-provider distinction is explained in the website footer and the Working With Us page.
Sources and legal accuracy
We use official legislation, judicial institutions, professional registers and other primary authorities where relevant. A source list is provided with each guide, and links are placed beside important explanations.
Institutional summaries are useful introductions but may not reflect every amendment or procedural exception. The applicable Turkish legal text, current rules, relevant decisions and facts of the matter must be checked for individual advice.
Dates mean actual editorial work
Preparation and substantive update dates are recorded per article; this edition was prepared on . Reading times are estimates based on the article text. Dates should be changed when substantive editorial work occurs, rather than updated automatically to create an appearance of freshness.
A displayed date is not a promise of continuous legal monitoring. Significant changes, publication and professional review should be recorded when they actually happen.
Corrections and reader questions
If you identify a factual error or a source that needs checking, send editorial feedback with the guide title, the relevant passage and an official reference where available. Do not include confidential case records in an editorial message.
For a question about your circumstances, discuss a legal consultation on WhatsApp. An editorial message does not confirm acceptance of a case or protect a deadline.
